This is to the best of my knowledge. The rig 96'HME is original except for the cab rear doors. The curb side door is from R3 and has been relabeled as found, in honor of the fallen R3 crew from W.T.C. The drivers side was a replacement door, manufactured from diamond plate, very heavy. This has be painted and labeled a R4 in its post 9-11 state, to honor their loss. The lower portion of the rig, red part was repainted. Most of the dents and dings were left. The owner wanted R4 to reflect the heritage of a work horse and as a not clean pristine parade rig. Most of the lettering and striping has been replaced as close to its original state. This includes the Station Shields for both R3 and R4, this was the reason for the original post. Some of the lights may have been replaced, as many were broken. All the tools were removed, except for the generator and it still works. The rear of the interior of the box still has the hand written labels on the doors where the different equipment was stored. I have photos that I would love to share, but have had problems posting them.
