It sounds like a busy day already, with numerous fires, including at least a couple multiple alarms.

Is the city staffing additional companies for the days leading up to Halloween?

Ill try & update every few hours.
There was a 2nd alarm @ Beaubien & Harper today, thats the only multiple I know of. Rear of a 2 story 100x150 vacant commercial building fully involved.

Usually for about 3 nights (29th, 30th, 31st) they staff additional companies, these are often either companies that were browned out or permanently disbanded. Some companies including Chiefs should get 2nd sections, last year there was 2 Chief 4s. These vary year to year, but every year for the past 3-4, Chief 3 has made a return for the 3 days, Chief 3 was disbanded about 3-5 years ago, and its return for the Devils Night period fills in a big gap for Chief responses in their former district.
