Ems starts a new triage system this week. Main change is the addition of an orange color.
All infants now become red tags unless deceased and you get a chance to give 5 breathes prior to giving them a black tag.
Children also get 5 breathes before a black tag.
Green and yellow stay the same but if in the judgment of the medic the patient needs rapid transport due to chest pain or something they can make them orange.

Has the FDNY fire branch added ORANGE onto their 10-codes?

Further re the change: The Code 1, 2, 3, and 4 system is augmented by now having two types of Code 2 patients: Red - Life Threatening Injury, and Orange - Urgent Medical Condition. Codes 1, 3, and 4 remain unchanged.
