Interesting setup.. Worked on a version with FDNY.  The big thing they wanted was to have multiple command boards talking to each other and HQ.  So the Staging Chief could enter units as they arrived on scene.  As well as when the Command post assigned a unit to a sector it would then show up in that sectors board.

Communications between boards was a bit of a problem and crashed alot.  Also very slow to startup.

Sometimes chalk and a blackboard are better. Less tedious than a mouse.
