Emil Stucchio was a Sgt. in Transit P.D. and I can't thing of his name, but a gent who sang with the "Eternals" on Babalu's Wedding Day" was a cop in the 44 up in the Bronx.

I believe his name was Herman Velez
Herman's one of the two former NYPD Aviation Unit cops.

"Memory, G-man, and JOR", Thanks for all that info. You guys know your stuff when it comes to my TWO favvorite subjects. Doo Wop Music and its history, and FDNY and its History.

Thanks guys. I owe ya a Dunks, or Big Mac.

And while I'm at it, Thanks Tommy B. and Truck 4 (Mike) for all the expense and time you put into this site, making this all possible.

And let me just say "Hello" to all my friends out there in cyber space.

G-man,

As I remember, Lowe Murray transferred into L-132 from Squad 3. He was in the tiller seat when 132 was t-boned on Classon Ave and Bergen St (I think that was December 1969). That was the accident that severely injured John Bedell and seriously injured the rest of that day's crew, including Lowe who got tossed from the tiller seat. It was that accident that ultimately caused Lowe to retire.

Yes, I was a member of the "house bands" at large NYC concert venues like Westbury Music Fair, Madison Sq. Garden, Izod Arena, Mohegan Sun and A/C Casinos. Lowe was a good guy backstage, drank quite a bit but always friendly. I remember doing a show at Queens College and seeing Don Cruz in his place onstage with the Harptones. That's when they informed me that Lowe was diagnosed with cancer and was having exploratory surgery. Sadly, he was gone in a couple of weeks.

I performed on one of those shows as musical director for Earl Lewis & the Channels. I've also did a CH-13 show starring Cousin Brucie (Bruce Myrowitz) that had Johnny Maestro & the Brooklyn Bridge and Larry Chance & the Earls

Thanks Chief for that info. I'm hoping that they will come out with a DVD of it because I won't be able to watch it, and I don't have a DVR. (I certainly need to get one and learn how to use it). I may just be able to catch the very end of it Sunday (8/19) evening. This is some Great Music.

G-man, is that show that you did with Cousin Brucie out on DVD ?

Not sure if the Cousin Brucie show is on DVD but I've seen parts of it where I'm performing on youtube.
