i saw a photo today of a Volly Firefighter wearing the WTC citation bar on his dress uniform. Where WTC citation bars given out to volly's aswell as FDNY?? or would he have purchased it himself??

Maybe the volly. Dept made them up and copied the design. 
Not aware of us giving them any.

I also wonder if maybe he is a member of FDNY as well as being a volunteer and he wears the bars on both uniforms.

Goldfeather has one.of our wtc citation bars I think with one star on it howd he get that

That's a PD Citation Bar.... FD's is a Purple and black bar. Purple on the left with 343 onit and stars on the black on the right. If im not mistaken 1 star if you where involved in the recovery after the collapse and 2 stars if you where involved in the first response and rescue recovery

2 stars = you were in or on the scene for one or both of the 2 collapse's  ........1 star = you were there but arrived after the collapse......no star = you were on the Job but did not work at the site during the early period (don't remember the exact period).
