Location: 654 Cortlandt St. X Huntington/Hall (just south of Route 440)
Description: Fire in (4) buildings

0355hrs- (2) P/D's heavily involved on arrival.

0400hrs- 2nd Alarm.

0410hrs- 3rd Alarm for fire in (3) dwellings with exposure problems.

0415hrs- (4) dwellings involved. Original fire building in danger of collapse.

0426hrs- 4th Alarm. Collapse of (2) buildings.

0500hrs- CMD pulling apparatus away from the buildings and expanding collapse zone.

515hrs- 5th Alarm.

Unfortunately, Perth Amboy is poorly staffed and after the 1st alarm is dispatched...they're basically empty and relying on mutual aid. They do their best.

PAFD should be better staffed, as most departments should be.

Location is also fairly close to E 151/L 76 in Tottenville and other SI companies close to the Outerbridge Crossing.
