DCAS has scheduled a filing period for the next exam. The typical 20-day window open on October 3, 2012. The test date isn't set yet.

I plan on taking the test this time! Any advice would be very helpful!!

I have heard that the tests are going to be written by a third party this time so I have no idea what it will be like. If the FF test is any indication you'll need an IQ greater than room temperature to pass.

1. As a Fire Alarm Dispatcher you receive a telephone call reporting a structural fire at 1234 1st Street. The normal response is 2 engine companies, 2 ladder companies and a battalion chief. You should immediately;

                 a) Dispatch all first alarm companies using the alarm box number closest to that address.
                 b) Send only the battalion chief in case this is only a false alarm.
                 c) Ask your supervisor what you should do.
                 d) Do not send anyone until you get another call.

I would guarantee something insane like this appears.
