I don't think I ever saw Earl get excited or mad. He was always calm, cool, and collected. A great firefighter, terrific truck chauffeur, and an outstanding role model as a senior man. Rest In Peace, it was an honor and a privilege to know you.

In regard to Joe Murphy above....This is a message recd from a friend who worked w/Joe.... QUOTE..He always did more than was expected and his sense of humor was unmatched with a "smidgen" of FDNY sarcasm. His devotion to his Roman Catholic Faith was unwavering.
His last few years on the job, do to an injury, Joe worked with the HELP TEAM and assisted hundreds of firefighters. For years he was in the FDNY Bagpipe Band and was the President of the Brooklyn- Queens Holy Name Society. Prior to joining the FDNY Joe was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp and a stern Patriot. Joe, you did well so now may your Soul Rest in Peace. Semper Fi ..UNQUOTE.
