Most of the fire burned in Von Briesen park, but a little corner of NPS property in Fort Wadsworth at the end of North Road behind Building 109 also burned.

Here's what responded -

E152, E153, E161, E160,
L77, L81
BFU1, BFU3
Bn. 21
Div. 8
Marine 9

NPS E94 checked the fire later on in the day as well.

And that is the first time I have ever heard it called the Bay St. Naval Station.

Lol STAjo, SI can be a very confusing place especially at night because we don't have any numbered streets... Except for a few low numbered residential blocks in New Dorp.

US Navy did have Naval Station New York on SI accessible by Bay Street in the 1980s.  It was closed in 1994:

The Army's Ft Wadsworth at the end of Bay St developed from military use as early as 1663.

US Coast Guard also was an occupant.

National Park Service inherited most of land and facilities.
