a lot of the companies that come to board up windows and doors after fires all carry scanners. well if its a good fire, multiple companies will all show up. only one gets the job so you understand y they were fighting

It was Sunday might. CFD123 was right on the board up service. Who does that in New York?

We have trucks that carry salvage equipment, and then you have private contractors who do the more involved work. However, I've seen a number of instances where the private folks will misrepresent themselves, saying they work for the FDNY. Scammers that they are.

salvage trucks can be special called to fires in chicago also. they would be called in for property protection with using tarps and they will also be used to open everything up after a fire especially where all companies have taken a beating. these companies do not carry plastic and of course do not do the board ups of buildings that is taken care of by general contract companies. if the building was burned enough and there is no point of board up, the building dept will be called and in most cases the building is tore down
