Willy D, there was a 5th alarm fire on SI on 6/5/2014. Box 0469

Thanks Nick. I think it was posted as a third alarm but actually reached a fifth. I'll take care of it.

QNS. 2014.......http://queenscourier.com/as-queens-grows-so-does-the-number-of-building-fires-in-2014/

Just some more statistics to add to the article, the increase of All Hands or greater incidents in Queens increased by 2.09% from 2013 to 2014, and the increase Citywide was 2.28%.

I enjoyed posting the FDNY Fire Activity for 2014. I plan to do the same starting a new thread for FDNY FIRE ACTIVITY - 2015.

The new year, 2015 starts off with a huge 7th Alarm fire in Brooklyn on January 31st. I've heard reports that this was the largest fire in 10 years for the FDNY and members of the department may be on the scene for weeks. So, we'll get that started sometime this week (when I'm finished playing in the snow with my shovel and snow blower).

I'll also continue with the work of the four larger Westchester County Fire Departments of Yonkers, New Rochelle, Mount Vernon, and White Plains.
