MAYOR’S BUDGET RESTORES FIRE COMPANIES

An Official Communication
from the Uniformed Firefighters Association
         #7 of 2014      ·     February 12th

MAYOR’S BUDGET
RESTORES FIRE COMPANIES

In announcing a preliminary Budget for fiscal year 2015,

Mayor Deblasio honored a campaign promise of restoring 20 FDNY companies previously targeted for closure.

The Mayor has restored $59 million to the budget
to keep NYC firehouses open.

The City Council and the Mayor’s Office will not have to go
through a “budget dance” to save firehouses for the first
time in 5 years.

We applaud the mayor for a common sense budget that preserves community firehouses.

It's a slow process, but it's good to see a mayor that's public safety friendly.

Fifth man on engine companies I thought it was 5 on each engine, 6 on each truck, 8 @ each Rescue, and Hazmat, and 6 on the Squads, 2 on battalion and division cars did I forget

Engines ride with an officer and 4 firefighters
Trucks, rescues, squads and the hazmat engines are an officer and 5 firefighters
Hazmat 1 is 1 and 7
