Thank you to all,now have a better understanding. Sat 5 is the only one that goes on a All-Hands in SI. Any particular reason or just to help increase its use and run numbers?

Satellite 5 is located on SI at E159 0n Richmond Road.

rdm: I "think" Sat. 5 goes on the all hands due to the greater distances/response times between firehouses on SI.
If emergencies make you crazy...don't come to them

I believe Sat. 6 is assigned on the initial alarm for fires inside the Navy Yard; I could be wrong.

You're right, Satellite 6 responds to All Hands in the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Newtown Creek areas and Satellite 2 responds to All Hands on City Island .
