@1221: 10-75-2851 for a fire on the second floor at 1827 65th Street, near 18th Avenue.
Engines 247,330, 243,    Ladders 172, 168 Batt. 42

Engine 250 (4th due), Ladder 149 (fast truck), Squad 1, Rescue 5, Batt. 33, Div. 8

CIDS: 6 brick 100 x 200 OMD, Battery back-up in basement, Verizon Cell site.

@1226: 75-2851: Batt. 42 reports fire apt. is D-10, two lines stretched with one in operation, trucks opening up, primary search in the fire apt. is negative.  Exposures: 1- street, 2- 3 story building, 3- unknown, 4- 2 story PD.  RAC 5 assigned.

@1228: Batt 42.: request extra engine and truck: Engine 253 and Ladder 148 s/c.

@1231: Div. 8 is 10-84.

@1232: Batt. 42: cancel extra engine and truck; squad and rescue can go 10-8.

@1234: Div. 8: visible fire has been knocked down, primary searches negative throughout, fire is probably will hold.

@1234: Engine 201 acting Engine 247 is 10-8.

@1236: RAC 5 is 10-84.

@1239: Ladder 122 acting Ladder 168 is 10-8.

@1241: Div. 8: Deputy Chief Howe reports secondary searches complete and negative throughout, fire is under control.  Fire duration is 25 minutes.

@1244: Engine 246 acting Engine 330 is 10-8.

What part of brooklyn is that considered?

Fair question.  Some maps say Bensonhurst, although most people think of Bensonhurst being more south.  It is too far north to be Dyker Heights.  One map refers to it as either New Utrecht or Mapleton and both of those names are not commanly used in Brooklyn.
