This is Another part of SI that probably needs another firehouse.  Princess Bay area is a long run for South Shore companies.  There has been a lot of construction and a lot of developments, large homes, taxpayers.  Hospital and many churches, day care and schools.

Mack, infact, there are 3 schools all within a few blocks of eachother and this job that equals a large student population. Between P.S.5, I.S.7, and Tottenville HS, the # of students within a few blocks radius is about ~5,300. A lot of kids & traffic at all times. Yes the area down here has a lot of woods but it also has a lot of population as well. Sorry for the tangent, itís the teacher in me lol.

Dispatcher is not new.  New to SI Radio.  Usually is pretty good and sounded decent on this.  Every one is entitled to be off their game every now and then.
Yes everyone is. Didn't mean it in a derogatory manner.

Staten Island is has nearly 500k people living on it. South of I278 has had a lot more development, population, and traffic. Even a straight shot response down Hylan is not that easy.

SI truly needs a squad and a few more trucks. I really think 154 or 165 would have been good options for making a squad. 165 for location, 154 for ease of getting to the highways. Does anyone have the number of times in a year Squad 1 makes runs to SI (include times they get turned around due to length response).

If 154 becomes a Squad and they are responding all over the Island that leaves a gap again between engine companies so you're right back where you started from and that is long runs and one less engine company on the west shore of the Island when something happens in the area. For instance, Visey Paper goes up for the millionth time and 154 is out whose going to be first due, 168, 166 or a long shot, 158? That's a good run for them. I'm not saying S.I. doesn't need a Squad but more thought should go into it by Metrowreck and maybe even create a new company to be the Squad. JMHO.

Long term goal is a Squad for SI.  Would be a new unit.

take 165 piece and put it somewhere as squad, put a unit from the spare pool at 165 and get it done.
