Fire on the first & 2nd floors of a 2 story 20x40 PD

L-174 FAST, E-248 4th Engine (Initially unavailable)

B-41: All Hands, fire on the first & 2nd floors, 2 L/S, 1 L/O, heavy clutter condition on the 2nd floor. Extra E&T. (E-309 & L-113) - 13:52

D-15: Transmit a 2nd Alarm - 14:00

D-15: 3 L/S, 2 L/O, primaries are delayed due to clutter. DWH - 14:04

D-15: We have heavy fire with extension to the cockloft, stretching a precautionary line to exposure 2 & 4. DWH - 14:15

FC: AVFKD, Primaries in exposures 2 & 4 and on the first floor of the fire building are complete & negative. DWH - 14:25

FC: PWH - 14:36

FC: Under Control. - 14:57

Duration: 1 Hour & 12 min.

 That Job Had a Good Head Start if 1st Eng to NY & 'D' was 281; 310 2nd.

I was thinking the same thing.  About a mile run for E 281.  E 310 might get in before them.

On the request for the additional E&T E-255 advised that they got noting at their EMS run and would be available for the job around the corner, BD told them that they are not needed and should stand by for the 10-7... they ended up responding on the 2nd.

Eyewitness News 7 reporter NJ Burkett stayed with the guys at 255/157 for a 24 hour interview special which aired on the 5pm news tonight. He said there wasn’t more than 2 hours between runs. Was taping when 157 arrived at this job, pics followed are from the special. He also taped 255/157 turning out of quarters, responding to and operating at the AH on Flatbush & Bedford around midnight.
