Automatic Fire Alarms
« on: October 11, 2018, 07:25:05 PM »
I came across this picture of a job in Allentown, PA I believe. Read that it came in originally as a AFA. Caption to the picture said to be ready for a fire every time. Got me thinking. Any stories out there about going on a “routine” AFA and pulling up to seeing something more than just an alarm ringing?

August 26, 1980, Chicago Engine 39 responded to a water-flow alarm @ Tenneco Chemical @ 3600 S Iron. Although vacant it was still being used to store chemicals. Resulting incident was a 5-11 and 5 specials calls
