Anybody know the reason for the diamond plate roof over the regular roof on the cab? Hopefully there's a good reason for it because it really looks funky. The only possible reason I can think of is that the roof of this style of truck is not built heavy enough to support lighting.

I don't know if the top of the roof is the same, but some of the cab is fiberglass. ;)

Are all of the trucks here yet and are any of them in service?

Again i hate to say it , i cannot remember the last time any of the satellites were actually put into service . Why not continue to use the Mack's ?

I’ve been to various jobs where the satellite used their manifold or were used for their supply lines. Maybe the monitor isn't used very often but they are definitely put to use when needed.

I read on another site that all the trucks are at the dealer.  One was brought to the shops the other night for the Bell Club Meeting

I saw a picture of the new Tower Ladder 164 along with the Satellite, but I can't find it.

the TL164 pic is on FDNY Trucks & Fire Vehicles facebook page.... I also just read on that page  that  ...  "  the FDNY is in the process of purchasing an 8000gpm Industrial Pumper. No idea when or where it's going to be placed. "
