Progress Report on Nycfire.net
« on: January 23, 2019, 07:37:46 PM »
Earlier today (1/23/19) I received an email from Joe M., aka "mack" of this site. He wanted to send me some statics and numbers from various sections of this web site.

Joe looked at the numbers that went over 10,000 post in a category. Some of the numbers are quite impressive to say the least. That's because of the dozens of members here who have contributed to this site.

GENERAL DISCUSSION - there were 14,769

 National Incidents - 20,739

 Brooklyn Incidents - 23,967

 Queens Incidents - 18,497

 Manhattan Incidents - 18,267

 Bronx Incidents - 17,093

 Apparatus General - 10,609

 History General - 9,998

Those of you who took the time and effort to contribute to these impressive numbers - "WE THANK YOU FOR THAT".

 ALSO:
I would add at this time that Our Most Valuable, Mike D., aka "mikeindabronx" has reached almost 23,000 post

The Most Viewed thread of course goes to "FDNY NYC Firehouses and Fire Companies" with a total of about 1,006,000 views. Coupled with that is it's second generation Firehouse thread called: "FDNY NYC Firehouses and Fire Companies - 2nd section" with a total of over 81,000 views since it's start on December 31, 2017.

We have seen the skills of some members in model building, photography, and video filming, along with telling their stories.

Many long term friendships have resulted from this web site.

As a group we have shared the loss of FDNYs Greatest in "Another War Years Vet Passes" and "Another 9-11 Member Passes". As well as LODDS of members of the FDNY, NYPD, and FDNY/EMS.

We have NOT Forgotten those who paid the "Supreme Sacrifice" at some of the most tragic events in NYC history and throughout our country.

Certainly we would all agree that if it wasn't for Retired FDNY Captain John Bendick and his son, Active Lt Tommy Bendick, none of this would have happened. They too have become good friends to many of us here.
