2/8/19 Staten Island All Hands Box 3221
« on: February 08, 2019, 03:14:42 AM »
Address: 215 Ridgewood Ave. off Genesee Ave.

Fire in the rear on all floors a 2 story 20x40 PD

Phone Alarm - Reporting fire in a PD. - 03:01

SI to B-23: We're getting a couple of calls that the house is on fire and an explosion, we're transmitting your box. - 03:04

L-84 FAST

B-23: Start out an extra E&T. (E-168 & TL-85) - 03:04

SI to B-23: *The 10-30 has already been transmitted, you're getting 4&3 Rescue/Squad & the 10-75 chief. - 03:05

B-23: Looks like we got something here, go with All Hands. - 03:06

B-23: Fire is in the rear on the first, 2nd floors & the attic, 2 L/S/O, DWH - 03:11

D-8: 4 L/S, 3 L/O, we have some extension through the 15ft alley to the siding of exposure 4, primaries are negative, DWH - 03:32

D-8: Under Control. - 03:52

Duration: 53 min.

D-8: Special call an additional truck for overhaul. (L-83) - 03:58

*Seems there was a confusion between the dispatcher & battalion whether the request for the extra E&T is above the 10-75 assignment or just the 4th engine/FAST truck to fill out the assignment, so the dispatcher was trying to clarify that they already loaded the box. (some dispatchers are using the term "box is transmitted" to tell that a box is loaded up which makes it a little confusing.)

Maybe:
E-167, 162, 164, 165, 168 s/c
L-87, 82, 84F, 85 s/c, 83 s/c
B-23, 22
R-5
SQ-8
D-8
E-159 w/ Sat. 5
RAC-5

Some relocations:
E-157 to E-167
E-152 to E-162
R-254 to E-165
E-282 to E-159
E-166 to SQ-8
L-168 to L-83

Relocating both the 33 and 43 Battalions leaves quite a hole in Brooklyn.

In regards to the "10-30"...ems has their own meaning forthat code..like stated above it means explosion for that agency...The Fdny fire alarm dispatchers do NOT use Ems codes  when they dispatch anassignment out....for the fire side the 10-30 is an eternal  signal used to "fill out the box die to quantity  and quality of calls"

That was a typo, it was the 32 to the 22.
