Been through New Haven thousands of times on 95 and the train. First time I ever heard them on radio.  30 seconds after programming them into scanner they struck this box.  Put the address in GPS and looked to the right---Oh Yeah.  Arrived shortly after 17 Engine.  Some very aggressive firefighting.  Of course they caught the Howard Ave. job a little while later.  Will try to post a couple of pictures.

Good Work NHFD.  Looked like BC Brown was the initial IC

Would love to see the Pic Maxim and I am sure a lot of the New Haven Guys & Gals that I am friends with would also. Do you have a website or Facebook?

Yes BC Brown Car 33 was the IC then I believe DC Watkins took over as IC when BC James went interior

"Maxim", interesting but I was also on I-95 in Fairfield at the time and I could see the smoke. I thought it might have been in Bridgeport but as I got closer it was being knocked down. I also had NHFD on the scanner and later knew it was a job in New Haven, but I didn't get the location until later and I could no longer see it.

I also contacted "signal73" earlier today to tell him I saw that header from the job he posted.

If only I was about 30 or 40 minutes earlier, we could have met up in the streets for the first time. Although maybe our travel plans would have been put on a several hour delay as we chit chatted.

I remember a couple days when buffing New Haven going from fire to fire.

Usually I find my self lately listening from the couch with a 10 month old lol

My visit to New Haven was an example of how busy I have been.  I have no idea when I will down load the pictures, but really would like to before going to Baltimore for the weekend. I also talked to a Chief who was either the Operations Chief or the the Assistant Chief.  Nice guy.

Willy I guess you will just have to get with your FDNY buddies and head up to Montreal for the IFBA Convention in June.  You guys are also welcome to come down to Baltimore for the Region 3 meeting on May 18th.  If you do want to come to Baltimore let me know so I can include you all in lunch, and work on getting you a hotel room.  There are at lest two people from Conn. coming down

Who ever asked if I have a Facebook, the answer is yes and some phone pictures are on there but again the camera pictures have not been downloaded and I will try to post a couple on this site when downloaded and I figure out how to post them.  The best phone picture was taken through the backyards from several houses away, kinda neat with fire blowing out a couple of windows.  Actually the super work by the jakes in New Haven kept the fire from being as spectacular as it cold have been

Thanks 73

I could not figure out how to post them. I think a few more are on Facebook for those interested.

The Jakes on Box 2-1701 did a fine job.
