This is right by the EMS Academy & the Quartermaster within the confines of Fort Totten grounds.

I believe that building was the commanding General's residence back when the fort was in use.

From what I've heard in the past, the hydrant and water pressure situation within the Fort leaves something to be desired. Whether this is still fact today I don't know. That may be the reason for Marine 6 response since Marine 4 really wouldn't be able to augment water if needed. Just a guess men, just a guess.

Yes hydrant mains in the Fort are piss poor (pun intended)...due to that a Marine Company....a Satellite & ENG*316 with the LGA Hose Wagon all respond for a water relay if needed....   Fire bldg is next to Queens Boro Command's Qtrs.
