E 208 first due?

Ladder 118 (until 1929) then Ladder 110 & Engine 207 (until 1972) from Jay St.
Also Engine 256 (until 1974) on the assignment.
Engine 208 (until 1972) on the 2nd.

How about the second sections of E-208 and E-224?
Would they be held in reserve?

Second sections until 1918.
In those days, 2nd sections were held for additional fires.

Other Jay St alumni units: Water Tower 6, Rescue 2, Division 10, Battalion 31, Ambulance 2

Other former neighborhood units:  Engine 206 and Ladder 103

A little further - Engine 203, Engine 204 and Engine 269 are gone.

From 1938 to 1948, this was one a few Downtown Brooklyn boxes where you would actually get a 1st alarm response of three 1938 Ahrens-Fox HT1000 pumpers. Engines 207, 226 & 256 until 1948, when E207's Ahrens-Fox was reassigned to E318 and they got a 1946 WLF that was previously assigned to E1. ;)
