75-729 on 8/31

75-729: All hands operating at box 729 for a fire at 701 Bushwick Avenue, near Suydam Street.

Normal assignment: Engines 218, 217, 222        Ladders 124, 112   Batt. 37

10-75: Ladder 108 (fast truck), Squad 252, Rescue 2

@1806: Batt. 37: using all hands for a fire the basement of a 4 story brick 30 x 60 OMD, fire is probably will, return special units but have fast truck continue on a 10-20.  Squad and Rescue are 10-8.

@1809: Batt. 37: primary and secondary searches are negative, fire is under control.

  That wouldn't have to be if L112 was kept at E222 instead of E277.

Was there any thought ever given to converting any of the many engine companies to a ladder company?
