It is with regret that the department announces the death of Lieutenant John H Martinson of Engine Company 249 on Jan 3, 2008, from injuries sustained while operating at second alarm box 3762 transmitted 1914 hours on January 3, 2008.  Signed Nicholas Schopetta, fire commisioner, Salvatore J Castano, chief of department.
