This is St. Andrew Avellino Church and School where efd274 and I went to school.

The current Chief of the Dept (Ed Kilduff) also went to grammar school at St Andrew's. I'm surprised they had space heaters in operation.  I know the new ones are designed to automatically turn off if they are knocked over for safety reasons etc.  I was always more concerned about the vigil light candles they have at the four side altars they have.

They had a bad fire in the Church there about 25 years or so ago where the sanctuary was a total loss.  They did a pretty nice job in the restoration. Hope today's event wasn't too serious.  BTW "holy smoke" is called incense!

On an FDNY note I think E273 is second due and E320 is third - I seem to recall 160th St and Northern Blvd being the line of demarcation.
