Title: Fire Patrol
Post by: mack on December 13, 2009, 09:19:10 AM

I read an old WNYF piece on the New York Fire Patrol.  They had a 400 member department in the city and 10 firehouses at one time.  They were several articles on the Fire Patrol in WNYF and they did have their "All Hands" update in the back of every issue.  It highlighted duties, training and response.  I was surprised to read that they did not respond to Queens or SI, unless special called by a chief.  Does anyone know why?
