Time: 0253hrs
Box: 1511
Location: 30 Kimball Ave x McLean Ave
Description: Fire 1st floor of a 2-frame p/d.

0245hrs- Numerous calls for a structure fire Kimball X McLean. Full box out for 921 McLean.

0250hrs- L-73 rpts 10-29 for fire showing from 1st floor.
1st Alarm: 313, 307, 304, Sq-11; L-73, 74, R-1, B-2

0251hrs- L-73 transmitting the 2nd Alarm.
2nd Alarm: E-306, 312; L-75; B-1

0254hrs- B-2 on location, confirming the 2nd Alarm.

0256hrs- B-2 req. E-306 as FAST.

0300hrs- B-2 rpts heavy fire 1st floor with extension to the 2nd floor. Exterior fire has been K/D. (3) L/S, making progress.

0303hrs- B-2 rpts main body of fire is K/D. Co's opening up.

0308hrs- B-1 S/C E-310 as Safety.

Does anyone know who was on the 10-29 or the 2nd Alarm Assignments?

On emtbravo it says Battalion 1 was safety.
I made that post on EMTBravo, assuming Battalion 1 went in as Safety. In most structure fires in Yonkers, because there is no longer a Safety Battalion, both Battalions will respond to a Working Fire, with the 2nd Battalion o/s acting as the Safety Officer. However, if the 2nd Battalion o/s is needed for fire duty as was probably in today's case, the IC will special call either an Engine or a Ladder to act as the Safety Co., in which case the captain of that Safety Co. is the o/s Safety Officer.
