One person with severe burns transported. Willimantic does a great job with little to no manpower. Last night 7 on shift and all in quarters at the time of the fire. They run a very busy ambulance. I didn't leave right away to go and the roads sucked due to the snow storm...

I'm retired from the East Hartford FD. Spent about 8 years in the firehouse that's 1st due to this neighborhood and never had a run to the street I grew up on. Had runs to the other street's and took care of old neighbors on those runs.

If you click on the above link, the picture on the news site shows a building under construction. That building burned in December of 2021. A very tight street.

I believe they are paid interns for the dept. but not 100% sure. The first time I've seen a cadet at a fire dressed to work.
