Definitely Brooklyn. If you look at the number of AH jobs as a proxy: fires for the 40, 42, and 43, exceed that of the 21, 22, and 23 - plus D8 I think has some other BK boxes, for example with the 33, plus they would venture further into Brooklyn if the 11th or 15th is unavailable.

Regarding the squad / rescue run totals, I did a bit of analysis on this using the 2024 runs and workers. In FDNY as a whole, 48% of engine company runs are medical calls. Zero percent, or something close to zero percent, of rescue company runs are medical calls. If you assume that the squads...

I see what all of you are saying, I guess I just have a different view. If the department stops at a fifth, and the fifth is deemed the highest severity of fire, I don't think there is any loss when communicating to the public. In fact, I think it might be more impactful to say "In X year, FDNY...

Back when they had 8th alarms did that stop the city from closing companies? No? I agree the department shouldn't under-report its work. But I don't see how stopping at a fifth with special calls under-plays anything.

Capt, if I can offer a contrary view: the Deputy Mayor, head of OEM, Fire Commissioner, and several staff chiefs were on scene, and the fire was all over the news and on social media. Who is being kept in the dark?

156 must have got in there somewhere as they have a relocator. Extra T on the AH maybe?

Crazy job. RIP to the deceased - glad to hear there weren't more and no firefighter fatalities. Also shoutout to Skyler, speaks to the great work you've done when the COD is calling you by name saying good morning!

11B is not one of the two in the video, but maybe 12B. I always thought the 12A/B/C cars were BCs but I could be wrong.
