    Car 40?

At 9/11, the 40 cars were for SOC. Downey (Rescue) was 40A, Chief of HAZMAT I believe 40B, Chief of Marine 40C. That said, these aren't the designations today as SOC are all 11 cars. Also definitely not the Queens boro, which is Car 9.

    6/22/25 Bronx 5th Alarm Box 3360

Can I also add: some photographers/videographers have built personal relationships with some of the chiefs in question, and have a proven track record for showing respectful discretion on what they film and therefore likely get some latitude that a random member of the public likely wouldn't...

    6/22/25 Queens 4th Alarm Box 5368

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think the extra CTUs have all of the capabilities of CTU1, so I am guessing CTU1 is assigned as normal, but given CTU1 is coming from SOC and CTU4 is much closer, they assign both

    Safety Battalion

Rundown for the BX 3rd alarm indicates SB-02 was assigned. Earlier, I heard SB responding and they signified they were SB-01. I know a second SB sometimes gets staffed for special events - is there something going on this weekend or is this something new?

Was BN01 relocated, or were BN7, 6, 4, 2, 11, etc all unavailable? I'd think the 1st is pretty far down the run card for this area

    FDNY Strategic Plan 2025

Some interesting proposals. A few things I noticed: - Looking at a potential pilot program to have ladder companies to respond to CFRD - Looking at having fire companies be able to get a refusal of medical attention without having to wait for EMS to free up resources - Looking at having EMS...

    5/3/25 Brooklyn All-Hands Box 8050

For example: For Sat 1, 24 is the backup to 9, with 24 having at least two engines between them and 9 For Sat 2, 97 is the backup to 72, same deal For Sat 3, 330 backs up 284, they're fairly close but not sure whether they'd have first and second due boxes together For Sat 4, 291 backs up 324...

    5/3/25 Brooklyn All-Hands Box 8050

It is interesting that for Sat6, primary and secondary are two companies that run in first and second due together. It seems this is not the norm for the other Satellies, where the backup company seems to be typically located just outside the battalion where the primary is located. In FDNY where...
