Some people on here are going to be so very excited about this! The downside is this will perpetuate the posts asking why it isn't called to every single large fire no matter what

Begs the question then why not send the SAT to all fires citywide? Or why not send two SATs? Or ten?

Got it, thanks. I was looking at a box from this area where SQ41 was third due but that was 5+ years ago being the most recent one I could find. Still leaves open the question of where 61 was as I assume they'd be way ahead of 18 even in the south BX

The response areas should be based on who is closest, not administrative responsibility. There's all kinds of battalion areas where one BN in administratively responsible and another BN is first due on the ticket

    3/28/25 Brooklyn 2nd Alarm Box 3652

Thanks. Kind of interesting - this is an 8th Division box with R2. D8 in quarters with R5 - and D15 is closer to the box than R2. Hard to follow why it would be D8/R2 and not D8/R5 or D15/R2. Thoughts?

That's not what I heard - initially, 22 was told to go 10-08 as 53 became available, but then 53 told Manhattan to put them back on their original box. Are you sure?

Respectfully, I see where you're both coming from, but neither of these are good answers. At some point, someone, maybe an FF, will urgently need help in Broad Channel - how can the FD defend not sending the closest available resources? No reason R2 couldn't respond here among the other 'few...

I get that R4 currently has all of QNS but when you look at the maps this certainly looks to me like it should be an R2 box. Similar to how R5 got some boxes from R2, it seems like R2 should be taking some of R4's boxes particularly after the move Eastward.

    3/16/26 Queens 4th Alarm 10-66 Box 9411

If you look back at the last few 10-66s, I don't think that's the case. But I see Signal's reply that it is due to the 10-66 code 1. The previous calls I was looking at were 10-66 no code.
