Catry - nice rundown as always - where did you get the second alarm assignment of Engines and Trucks. It wasn't given over the air - do you have access to MDT outputs??

Some interesting byplay with the dispatcher and L32 for the initial minutes of the transmission is included below

18:16
L32: available
Disp: remain in service at this time
L32: o-kay - call us if you need us
Disp: chuckles

18:19
L32: our MDT is down and that is our second due box
Disp to L32: that is your third due box

2 jobs in just under 3 hours for 63 and 39.

That North Bronx has sure picked up over the years. Just 10 years ago, I probadly had no idea that there even was an Engine 63, or Ladder 39 or even a 15 Battalion. But "I do now". Maybe I'll have to start hanging out up there, and writing about that area. Only instead of calling it "My YOUNGER Buff Years". I'll call it "My SENIOR Buff Years".

Bill...there is a nice Burger King on White Plains Rd. (235-236th St.) right across from the last 5th Alarm. This would be a great location to start your "SENIOR Buff Years".

A North Bronx Burger King sounds good to me Mike. Would you ever think that though. Espically from your Harlem Hilton Days. And what about E69 relocating to E52. Thirty years ago, it was just the opposite. And Jamie (r1smokeater) is right. Those are all Occupied Buildings up there. It reminds me a lot like 275/133 and 303/126 area in Queens.

Best quality Bronx fire duty is still in the Concourse Corridor in Battalions 17, 19 and 27..

Up and down the Concourse and a few blocks east and west. (Sherman, Sheridan Grant, College, Walton, Townsend, Weeks, Clay, Moroe , Eastburn, Topping, Creston, Morris, Davidson, Grand, Decatur, Valentine etc.

"XLI..." I certainly can't argue that. Its been my hang out since the late 70s. Know the neighborhood and streets well. And if you think its good now, you should have been around there in the 80s. 92/44 were out the door all the time. And work almost every day on one of those streets you mentioned. And I bet I caught 20 jobs just on that small street called "Echo Place".

Back in the 70's I rode with E-68 and would catch a lot of work in the High Bridge, Mt.Eden & Concourse sections of Da Bronx.

No offense to the older guys on here, but I'm so happy you 'fellers' learned how to use a computer. If it wasn't for you guys, a lot of us younger folk wouldn't know all this great stuff!  8)

Thanks!

Yes "Bigandy", if it wasn't for those Old Guys learning how to type in a few stories, much of this wouldn't be showing up here. And as a younger Gent myself on here (Born 1949...makes me only 61), I appreciate what these Old Guys have to offer. But even for a somewhat younger guy like myself, it's taken me years to figure this computer stuff out. Yes there Bigandy, "we sure do appreciate what these Old Timers have to offer". They surely do a Great Job, even with all their computer handicaps. But lets face it there "Bigandy", even us younger guys, have our computer issues. And Lord knows, whats it going to be like when we (or "I" ) get old.
Thanks Bigandy for giving those "Old Timers" their well deserved pat on the back.
