@1028: Stonington Borough Fire Dept dispatched to report of a working fire on a boat on land at Dodson Boatyard.  First unit on scene reported heavy smoke with two boats on fire and a primary power line down across one of the boats.  Two propane tanks also involved.

SBFD response: Engine 12, Ladder 15 (quint), Engine 13, Support Truck (Air Supply) 17.

CT Light and Power requested to turn off power.  Half an hour wait.  Fire spread to two other boats, all closely stored on land adjacent to Amtrak main line between NY and Boston.

Mutual aid to Wequetequock FD (2 engines), Old Mystic for engine with foam supply,
Pawcatuck FD (one engine and one tower ladder).

Amtrak instructed to shut off power to overhead lines so Pawcatuck could attack fire from North of the RR tracks.  One and a half hour wait.

Fire ulitmately spread to a fifth boat.  Canteen unit responded from Providence, RI.
Under control around 1330.

Thanks Parick.  Great pics.  I successfully avoided them although I was in scene and operating for five hours.
