Early this morning the Bronx boro had a number of personal cars broken into and their FDNY parking placards stolen. At least 20 cars reported so far from various firehouses.

Early this morning the Bronx boro had a number of personal cars broken into and their FDNY parking placards stolen. At least 20 cars reported so far from various firehouses.

This also happened 1 or 2 yrs ago in front of 79/37 BN-27. Somebody turned in a false alarm in the early AM and while the Companies were out they broke into several of the members cars and stole the placards.

This seems to happen every year at this time especially in the Bronx, they hit 3 or 4 houses each time and vary the houses. Placards issued expire in February so I assume they know we have new placards issued this time of year. Never been able to catch anyone as of yet.

What houses did it happen at this time ?

make a copy of the placard or just put a patch in windshield. no one uses placards in my house. you are just inviting someone to smash your window and grab it
