Was the special called truck above the second Ladder 48 or Ladder 40?  Quite a run for Ladder 48.

When L-48 was released they did ask if they should return to L-43's quarters but were told they could return to their own.

It's not uncommon for us to send relocators to jobs if they are closer than the next unit up on the assignment card. Especially if you have a situation when you need something like a tower ladder. You can always make another move to cover.
