4/19/14 Bronx All-Hands Brush Fire - Pelham Bay Park

Thanks BCR, I knew about all the other nozzle arrangements and discharges, but I either missed or didn't realize they had the 12" discharge to supply the Neptune system.  The Neptune system is certainly a unique piece of equipment (actually multiple pieces), but I'm sure takes a lot of training time on to be proficient, especially considering how seldom it is used.

No problem, that Neptune system is one heck of a concept and is one thing that I would really like to see someday, how it's setup etc. I'm not sure how it works but I would imagine it must not be easy to get fully operational rapidly with Equiptment stored in different towns and possibly needing an fdny boat for adequate supply but then again if you need water that big, it is going to be a long operation. I do think parts of the system have been utilized, that fire they had on the board walk at seaside heights nj rings a bell.
