Brooklyn Box 1819 transmitted for 170 Chestnut St. between Fulton St. and Ridgewood Ave. Dispatcher 768.

Battalion 39 reporting a 10-75(Working Fire), 7-5(All-Hands) upon arrival for Box 1819. Fire in the rear of 165 Chestnut St., 1-story 40'x30' factory w/extension to 173 Chestnut St. 5 L/S/O's. 1 & 1 S/C on the All-Hands. Now a 2nd Alarm.

Fire is still D/W/H. Primaries negative. Duration 28 minutes.

Actually E 236 transmitted the 10-75 from around the corner from the fire.  They could see it on the next block and sent the 10-75.  When they arrived, they gave the correct address.  B 39 used all hands on arrival.

Last I heard Field Com transmitted a request for a Tower Ladder for relief.  That was just after the fire was declared under control.  Division declared it to be an extended operation.  Prior to the fire being placed as probably will hold the radio traffic  that caught my attention was  the asking for someone from buildings respond to the scene to evaluate if it would be safe to knock down some of the badly damaged exterior wall using a tower ladder to do so.

call came in as 161 richmond st ....Ladder 175 transmitted the 10-75 stating going around corner then gave 170 chestnut....
address changed a few times

fire stayed at a 2nd alarm with special call for companys for relief. I believe the last special call for relief was just after 1800hrs
