7/22/10 2-Alarmer in Va Beach Destroys 3 Homes

Engine 2 & Tower Ladder 2, 1st run area. I believe they were there in 3 to 4 mins. Fire apparently burned awhile undetected. The homes were fairly new construction which significantly delayed detection due to how "tight" these new P/D's are built. Add the fact we have 1 Officer & 2 Firefighter rigs, 2 seperate 1997 studies indicating we are short 4 firehouses (probably 6 now), and a very hot day and there you have it. Everyone did the best they could with the staffing provided.   

1st: Engs. 2,4,7,9 TL2, Batt2

WF: Squad 10, Engine 10, Batt3, Car7

2nd: Engs. 1,16,18? Lads. 9,1 Car8, Car1, City of Chesapeake Rehab 3

Fire Marshals 1 & 2?, Investigators 3 thru 5 ?
