I can't believe there are no flooding posts this evening. This is from Facebook:

"Cross Island Parkway closed in Bayside
The NYPD is heading to the Cross Island Parkway after multiple vehicles went underwater with entrapment. This is by the Northern Blvd Exit in Bayside.
Heavy rescue operation heading to the scene.
Bystanders are working to remove the entrapped people inside the vehicles.
AVOID THE ROUTE.
Some of the local roads are also flooded.
Bell Blvd and Northern Blvd from the pic."

At one point E 297,315, L 126 , 135 were staged at 223 St & 46 Ave with the 54 Batt and the trucks' SOC support vehicles. I'm right off the Cross Island & Northern Blvd, and it's been amazing to look at or hear about all the flooding within a short distance of me.
