Rest in Peace Engine 232 (BMA). May the Tin House live on in our memories.

Superbowl Sunday - February 1988 Engine 232 was closed, known as "The Tin House" in Brooklyn.
(There was also a Tin House in the Bronx at Boston Rd and 169th St - Engine 85/Ladder 59)
On Superbowl Sunday February 1988 Engine Company 232 in Brooklyn was abruptly closed.
Chiefs ordered firefighters watching the game to relocate, only for them to find their quarters permanently closed upon arrival back.
This took place during Mayor Koch term who passed away in Feb 2013.
Most of us who were around during that time will never forget how that happened.
Later there was mass protest across the Brooklyn Bridge by helmeted FDNY members.
