Description Of Incident: Bridgeport Dispatch advising Ladder 5 en route they are filling out the Box due to multiple calls reporting a fire. Ladder 5 o/s reporting heavy smoke showing from the 6th floor of a large 7-story brick project-style OMD and reporting people trapped in apartments. Battalion 1 o/s transmitting a Working Fire and requesting 1 additional Ladder Company S/C. Battalion 1 requesting multiple AMR EMS Units to the scene. Companies assisting occupants evacuating building. 2 L/S/O's w/quick k/d. Ladder Companies opening up. Fire contained to 6th floor hallway. All hands working. Originally reported as an Activated Fire Alarm(AFA). All searches negative. Battalion 1 reporting 6 victims removed and being treated and/or transported to the hospital by AMR.
