Last night was FF Billy Carlson's last tour ....Billy was a Cop in the 83 Pct. a FF in ENG*235 & LAD*111 & then volunteered to go to LAD*4 after their large 9-11 loss then SQ*1 & CAR*11....He is a Vice President of the NY FFs Burn Center & works very hard with that as well as the Burn Camp every Summer.... his Dad was 40 yr Member BC Howie Carlson RIP......Enjoy Retirement Bill you earned it.

Best wishes to FF Billy Carlson for a Happy and Healthy Retirement. A few of us outside of the FDNY got to chit chat with you a few times. Actually I didn't know that you were a cop in the 83rd, a pretty tough place to be. Or the fact that you were the Vice President of the NY FFs Burn Center and working with the burn camp.

I don't know if you remember me but anyway, welcome to the Unemployed Club of Retired Members. Actually it's not so bad once you get used to it. Especially on a few cold nights like this.

Thank you for serving the citizens of NYC as both "The Finest" as well as "The Bravest".

I guess putting it all together they refer to that as "The Best of Both Worlds".

Congrats Billy on a great career and enjoy retirement. Have met Billy on a few occasions - last being after the Tunnel run in Sept when he offered my numerous beers from the cooler he was dragging around
