Large 4 story Mill construction , 100 X 250
At approximately 02:29 hours this morning Car 21 (Deputy Chief Murphy) Engine Co. 9, Engine Co. 5, Ladder Co. 4 and Rescue Co. 1 responded to 360 Merrimack St building 9 for a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival Engine Co. 9 reported a smoke condition of the first floor. Deputy Chief Murphy requested an additional Engine (Engine Co. 6) and Ladder Company (Ladder Co. 5) to the scene. At 02:52 hours Deputy Chief Murphy ordered a second alarm struck. Engine Co. 7 responded to the scene and Mutual Aid (Dracut Engine Co. 1, Andover Engine Co. 1 and Lowell Ladder Co. 2) responded for station coverage. Shortly after the incident was declared under control. No injuries were sustained. LFD Fire Investigation Unit is investigating this incident. (from Lawrence FF's local 146)
