A large fire broke out at a business that manufactures auto glass located in the suburbs of Dayton. Upon arrival crews found heavy fire from the roof of the building. The fire was primarily on the roof of the building. Unconfirmed reports suggested that the fire may be gas-fed. The size of the building combined with strong winds made it difficult for ladder pipes to reach the center of the roof. An explosion occurred on the roof more than an hour into the incident. Two hours into the incident a heavy thunderstorm rolled through the area forcing crews to pause their efforts and shelter in their apparatus. As of 3 hours after dispatch, all crews are still on scene fighting the fire.
