Shortly after 8:12 a.m., the NNFD was dispatched to the 000 block of Berger Place for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, crews had fire showing from the roof and initiated an aggressive interior attack. The fire was located in the attic spaces of multiple apartment units. A total of 8 apartment units have been impacted and will be condemned. Members of the NNFD Fire Marshal’s Office remain on scene to assist with the investigation.
All residents and their pets were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported. The American Red Cross is actively assisting several displaced residents.
