2 1/2 frame, two lines stretched and operated, searches negative.

Norwich, Ct came in the number 10 spot for All Hands or Greater within Connecticut. It wasn't exactly Brooklyn or Da Bronx, but "The Rose City's Bravest" are trying.

Thanks Emmett.

Sounded like a great stop by one of Connecticut's "smaller city" departments. "The Rose City's Bravest" getting it done!

Did you buff this one by any chance, Bill?

Bill, What is the Tribal Dept and how far away are they?

Rev, the Tribal Fire Dept that responds as the FAST Co in Norwich is Mohegan Sun Casino members. They respond with an officer and three firefighters usually in what is called a "Prime Mover". Similar to a smaller version of the FDNY Rescues. After 9/11, about 30 of these were purchased throughout the state to tow Decon trailers. Most of the larger departments in Connecticut, the two casino departments, and the US Sub Base Fire Dept in Groton has one.

Mohegan Sun Tribal Fire Department is only a short distance from most areas in Norwich. This fire was only about two/three miles away. They can usually be anywhere in Norwich within a short time. On a Working Fire they, along with the Chief of Dept, Safety Officer, and Fire Marshall are automatically notified.

The City of New London and Groton uses the Sub Base Fire Dept as their FAST Co. And Willimantic Fire Dept (about 15 miles north of Norwich) uses the UConn Fire Department (University of Connecticut).

Manning is an issue for all of these departments.
