Whats the residence requirement for the FDNY these days. Back in 1974 one of my neighbors in Philadelphia was a Capt in the FDNY. I'd say he lived about 90 miles or so from New York.
Personnel have to reside within one of the following counties, New York (mn), Kings (Bk), Queens, Richmond (Staten Island), Bronx, Rockland, Orange, Westchester, Nassau, Suffolk.Whats the residence requirement for the FDNY these days. I know of people who worked for the city here who used addresses inside the city (such as a relatives house) but if caught you got fired immediately. Several years ago they changed the residency requirements. Usually you got caught because someone dimed on you.My father worked as an Assistant Engineer for the city for 40 years . . . during every bit of it he lived in Nassau County, in violation of the residency requirements. He used my aunt's address in Brooklyn as his "home". Only thing homelike about it was that's where he got mail from the city.

I believe that's all of them.
