I never met the man nor heard of him until now. I willing to bet that he was devoted to his wife and children, a man of good morals and principles, a good firefighter and a Lt. who looked after his men like he did his family. He was always striving for the best in his personal and professional life, he was one of the Bravest, a New York City Firefighter and judging by the rig in the photo as well as the moustaches on the men it was during the war years. Like I said..I didn't know of him or have ever met him...but that is my impression. I hope that answers your inquiry sir.
