    A quick Google search produced several videos on this unit. Basically a community affairs unit that responds to major incidents and attempts to deescalate and calm chaotic scenes and prevent further violence.

    I'm sure there is a significant cost savings with buying in bulk, i.e. five Rescues at a time, but then you get your entire fleet worn out at the same time...I wonder if it would make sense to have a five year contract with one Rescue delivered per year and then at the end, take a year or two to...

    They could probably have a diesel or gasoline generator on-board to power the electric motors for each wheel...but still added weight, space, and cost.

    Additionally, the 1968's had the curved hose, bed cover, 1969 had the flat hose bed cover, 1970 were first with the silver cab faces, 1971 were first four doors. 1972 had the large torpedo cab marker lights on the sides, 1975 cab marker lights were small pedestal mounts.
