This seems like a targeted attack. Audio recording telling people to evacuate and leave. Also 6:30am on christmas morning is a time when nobody is really even moving around in a business district like this. Someone have a beef with AT&T?

Early word is a class C RV loaded with explosives. Parked at location around 1:30 AM then started broadcasting around 6:00 am. Initial notification came from the condo at 166 2nd Ave N reporting gunshots or the sound of gunshots. Metro PD arrived and heard the early warning announcement and immediately called for USAR and Bomb squad. The set up a perimeter from Gay St north and Broadway south and the explosion happened around 6:30 am. The blast took out the 911 lines for several agencies in Tennessee and Kentucky. Major damage to the switch station and the mixed use buildings on the east side of the blast. Rumors control says it may be a beef with AT&T's relationship with the NSA, but who knows.
